At Kenney & Conley, our primary objective in all cases is to maximize the value of our clients’ personal injury claims. We accomplish this objective through intensive investigation and research prior to commencing the lawsuit, and our long-term success enables us to commit substantial resources to the development of your claims from the very first stages of our engagement. This in turn allows us to apply steady and unrelenting pressure on the defense from the time we file suit. If our approach to the litigation of personal injury claims seems beneficial to you, contact our firm for a free consultation.
In the 28 years of our firm’s existence, we have not only helped our clients recover substantial settlements and jury verdicts for their injuries, we have also helped develop Massachusetts personal injury law through successful arguments on appeal and through our writing, lecturing, and leadership in professional organizations.
Paul F. Kenney, one of our founding partners, has 39 years of civil experience. He negotiated one of the first million-dollar settlements for a cancer misdiagnosis claim in Massachusetts history. Today, his primary practice areas are construction and workplace accident litigation, wrongful death, and the formulation of damages claims and presentations in the most severe personal injury cases. He also wrote an article on damages presentations in wrongful death cases for the Massachusetts Bar Association. Mr. Kenney is a graduate of Boston University School of Law.
Our other founding partner, J. Michael Conley, has 30 years of civil trial experience, and today works primarily on personal injury cases of all kinds. He has written and lectured extensively for professional audiences on auto insurance coverage issues, and has also pioneered methods of reaching homeowners’ policies for the payment of certain vehicle accident damages claims. Mr. Conley is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School.
Since earning her law degree from Suffolk in 1997, Kristen A. Barnes has spent her entire professional career with our firm. She also lectures and writes on auto accidentand car insurance issues, but practices in all of our personal injury fields. Her skill before the appellate courts has been instrumental in establishing our firm as a leading contributor to the development of Massachusetts personal injury law and jurisprudence.
Mark D. Horan has been a Massachusetts lawyer for over 32 years. He has represented victims of accidents and discrimination in our trial courts, at the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA), and at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. He also served two six-year terms as an Administrative Law Judge at the DIA. Attorney Horan is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School.
We are also fortunate to have attracted and retained a highly talented and committed support staff whose efforts on behalf of our clients help make the decisive difference in case after case. Everyone at Kenney & Conley is focused on client service and results, and the volume of our referral business indicates that the word is getting around.
